i love how this needed to be anon. it actually didn’t. to be clear, he could EASILY be poc. that’s no issue whatsoever. i specifically used BJS because ever since sense8 came out, i’ve wanted a reason to use him. this is an opportunity too, especially since sense8 is cancelled (and im pissed af about it).

i hope this isn’t you attempting to come for me because of not initially using a person of color for the original character. because, as a person of color myself, i would gladly do so. i HIGHLY understand that representation matters, trust me on that one.

i just want to make sure you are saying this with good intentions. no shade, but tumblr tends to piss me all the way off when it comes to this subject. again, this is coming from an actual person of color. because people are quick to jump on others about not using POC face claims, but then ignore canon POC characters for their pasty white faves in the same breath. OR they’ll just make their pasty white fave into a POC, ignoring those who already exist and honestly further their erasure. 

but that’s another subject. anywho, to get back on subject. i have no issue with making the original character a POC. but just because i use brian j. smith, it does not mean i’m committing some crime.
